On July 14, 2026, the African Development Bank Group is hosting a webinar focused on the commitments of the Energy Compacts and regulatory preparations for Mission 300 in East Africa.

The webinar will bring together regional electricity regulatory authorities in Africa, senior government officials from Africa’s energy ministries, development partners, M300 Compact Delivery and Monitoring Units (CDMU), and a variety of other stakeholders.

The webinar aims to facilitate a policy dialogue on how regulatory reforms, the development of regional electricity markets, and improved utility performance can support the implementation of the Mission 300 National Energy Compacts in East Africa.

The program will include three sessions:

1. a presentation of the key findings from the Electricity Regulation Index (ERI) regional brief on regulatory convergence in East Africa.

2. a presentation of the key findings from the Mission 300 East Africa compact policy brief

3. a panel discussion on national perspectives regarding Compact implementation, regulatory preparedness, and regional power trade.
