These programs are based on creating and applying incentive mechanisms for raising the attractiveness of highly efficient cooling products for consumers and ensuring the availability of energy efficient and climate friendly cooling technologies and associated services in the market. They are directed at one or several market actors along the cooling product’s supply chain, including manufacturers retailers and distributors as well as consumers.
Key incentive mechanisms include, for example, direct subsidies, income tax credits, value added tax (VAT) reduction, direct cash incentives, as well as on-bill financing and repayment.
