AfDB & Enerdata will improve African Energy Information System

Enerdata has recently won a new contract from the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the African Energy Commission aiming at improving the existing African Energy Information System (AEIS).

The main objectives of the project will be:

  • redesign the AFREC Energy Statistics database;
  • collect energy data through questionnaires as well on energy efficiency, prices and taxes and bioenergy;
  • develop data visualisation tools to consult energy statistics;
  • train AFREC staff and focal points on energy statistics and tools.

The project will start in January 2020 for 6 months.
